Community Rules

In short

This is a place to think together about the inner life. Speak here as you would to a guest in your home. You must be 18 or older to take part.

Who can do what

• Everyone can read the conversations.
• Any signed-in reader can like.
• Members can write.
• Everyone who takes part must be 18 or older.

What we ask of you

• Answer the idea, not the person.
• Write in your own words. If you quote someone, quote briefly and say who it is.
• Stay with the subject of the piece.
• Keep private things private, yours and other people's.

What is not allowed

• Insults, threats, harassment, or following a person from one conversation to another.
• Hatred or contempt toward people for their religion, origin, colour, sex, or any such trait.
• Sexual content, and anything at all that sexualises minors.
• Advertising, selling, links posted to promote something, and the same message repeated.
• Posting anyone's private details: a full name, an address, a phone number, a workplace, a picture.
• Pretending to be someone else, or to speak for AA Solis Knowledge.
• Medical, legal or financial instructions given as fact. Share what you lived, not what others must do.
• Anything unlawful.

Rooms and private chat

The rooms are for members. Everything above applies in them as it does under an article.

A private chat begins only when the other person accepts. Do not ask again through other means if they decline. Do not send anything in private that you could not send in a room: the same rules hold, and the other person can report the conversation, which lets a moderator read it.

Your picture and your name

The same rules apply to your picture, the name you show and the lines about you. Use a picture you have the right to use. No pictures of other people without their consent. No sexual or violent pictures.

How the rules are kept

• A person's first comment is read by a moderator before it appears.
• Every comment and every member page has a Report link. Use it instead of answering in kind. The person you report is not told who reported them.
• Something several readers report is hidden until a moderator has looked at it.
• You can block any person. You will no longer see what they write.
• Moderators can hide or remove a comment, remove a picture, stop a person from writing for a time, or close an account.
• These decisions are made by people. If you think one was wrong, write to us through the Contact page.

If someone is in danger

This community is not an emergency service, and nobody here can give professional care. If you or someone else is in danger, call your local emergency number.

What you write stays yours

You keep the rights to what you write. By posting it you allow us to show it on this site. You can delete any comment of yours at any time, and deleting your account removes them all. How your data is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy.
